GBC Goodbye

Adieu. Adieu. To you and you and you. On behalf of the GBC Bunch, we'd like to thank everyone for their hard work and support. Time has definitely flown by the last three quarters and we've really enjoyed working with all of you.
When thinking back on our platform, it's really been somewhat of a wild ride. We ran on Programming, Inclusiveness, and Infrastructure, and I'd like to write a little about what we did addressing each.
Programming: Thanks to the hard work of Janet and Kelly and their teams, we had successful events in Spring Fling, Winter Formal, Cold Call Parties, and Fall Frolics. We revamped the Cohort Cup Challenge (BSCIT) and based on our one event, turnout was great. We also sought to provide more co-programming to eliminate dual programming. We've partnered with other groups such as the Wine Club to co-host events. Thanks to Jeremy who really raised the bar on Random Walks, getting record attendance and revamping the website. Mike chaired the Alumni Golf outing to a sold-out crowd. Thanks also to Nilay who delivered great LPFs and DSS events.
Inclusiveness: While this aspect is a little more difficult to measure, we hope that the community is somewhat stronger through some of our actions. Specifically, we gave a record amount to the community funds and loosened restrictions on what the money could be used for. Hopefully, that gave smaller groups a chance to thrive and build a community.
Infrastructure: We wanted to really legitimize the GBC on campus and really make it visible, wellknown, and all-powerful. We established a better structure for how to interact with other departments within the school, like Admissions, Career Services, Facilities, Technology, and the Alumni Office through working with second year GBC Committee leaders. We also updated the constitution and operating by-laws to structurally enhancethe GBC as a whole.
Well, hopefully your GSB lives were all a little bit better with us as your executive slate. We know we had a great time serving all of you and we'll see you in the Spring. If you see us around, buy us drinks!
