Stacey Kole's weekly get-together for students and school administrators just a got a lot more interesting. From now on, coffee dispensers will be replaced by shot glasses, salt, and a "whole lotta" cheap tequila.

"We wanted to turn it up a notch," said Kole, Dean of the Full-time Program. "While we felt that student attendance was good, we thought this would boast participation even more and allow us to find out what really is on the students' minds."

Kole turned to Sears Roebuck Marketing Professor Ann McGill for marketing advice that led to the tequila shot recommendation. "It's all about responding to the customer," said McGill. "Look at how well TNDC does every week. Tequila shots are a point of differentiation not utilized by any other student-administration coffee hour."

Kole told our reporter that a need for change was apparent when she started seeing too many people drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows in it. "'What a bunch of wusses,' I thought. This is the GSB, not . We need to mix things up, and fast!"

When asked if the professors and administrators will also be participating in shots, an anonymous professor responded "Hells yeah! What do you think we do in the faculty lounge during happy hour every week?"

Reaction from the GSB student body showed overwhelming support, despite the possible dangers. Excessive hard alcohol consumption could potentially lead to vomiting on homework, passing out on the pool table, or worst of all, breaking promises to yourself of not hooking up with someone at the GSB. Some fear too many group hugs while proclaiming themselves "best cohort group ever." One anonymous student reacted to the concerns: "You say 'passing out on the pool table' like it's a bad thing."

The new policy will also save the school valuable dollars. Buying jugs of cheap tequila (Montezuma was chosen as the preferred brand) at the 57th street supermarket is actually much cheaper than the Starbucks coffee they currently purchase from BizCafe. In addition, Ida Noyes wings and nachos will be served in lieu of cookies.

How will this affect the ratings? Neil Bansal from Gary, Indiana did not seem concerned. "Harvard has the largest alumni network, we have tequila shots. I don't need BusinessWeek to tell me which one is better."

When asked if body shots would be part of the new scheme, Kole declined to comment.
