Wow, it seems like only yesterday we met at admit weekend and talked about our dreams and aspirations. Business school loomed in front of us and a chance to grow as students, businessmen (and women), and friends represented an incredible opportunity. Coming to this fine University, we were given even more of a chance to shape our journey and our future. Much anticipation gathered within us.

Then came Random Walks. We had such a great time in Alaska. What a great chance to get to know people - and from so many different countries. That girl came to the BBQ for me, BTW. And, what can't you say about our orientation trip to Wisconsin? My "clearest" memory (I'm told) is of standing up on top of a table at a party in someone's (unnamed) room at 3:30 in the morning to cheers from 150 of my newest friends giving a speech of why I should be President of the class. And, we won't talk about the keg stands. Who were those hooligans? This is really the weekend where we, the Class of 2004, bonded. What a ride it has been since then!

When I arrived in September, I was awestruck by the genius, achievement, and experience that surrounded me in my classmates. My classmates were from every corner of the Earth and had done such unbelievable things. I couldn't help, as most Americans here did, I think, feel a little undeserving. I looked at the b-school experience as an incredible opportunity to immerse myself in everything that interested me. And so I did.

What great memories and friends I made. Here's to the Soccer Team! In fall '02, we were the champions of the First Annual UCLA Business School Soccer Tournament. In fact, over 5 games, we let in 0 goals! In winter 2003, we went to the Austin tournament and made it to the semi-finals in the bitter wind and cold. Unfortunately, I tore up my knee at the end of the tournament, so I was forced to miss the Tuck Ski Races the next weekend, though I did make the trip out to Tuck, to cheer on my team. This fall (03), we failed to repeat as champions at UCLA, but did make it to the second day and had a strong showing (except against Stanford). And, recently, during the first weekend of May, I was very proud of our showing at the Tuck Soccer Tournament. We made it to the second day after qualifying with a fantastic late goal during the last game of the first day. We are hoping to put together an alumni team next year, so if anyone is interested, please email me.
