Ever wonder who those folks are in the Office of Alumni Affairs and Special Events? Don't know what the Alumni Office does or why you should care? I'd like to introduce you to your Alumni Office staff. I say "your" because we're here for you, even in your pre-alumnus status. We want to share with you what we do and how we can help you now as a student and in the near future as alumni.
The Office of Alumni Affairs and Special Events has a staff of 11 professionals dedicated to serving the GSB community. Here we are at a glance:
Caroline Karr '88, Associate Dean, oversees all aspects of the Office of Alumni Affairs. She makes sure that its programs and services continue to meet the needs of alumni and other constituencies. Janice Luce, her executive assistant, keeps the day-to-day operations flowing smoothly.
Julie Pfeiffer, General Manager of the Midway Club, oversees its day-to-day operations and manages the Club's long-term business goals. The Midway Club's two assistant managers, Luis Lorenza and Annica Nystrom, manage the front desk and concierge duties, and manage the logistics of scheduled meetings and the general usage of the Club's facilities.
Cindy Andresen, Director of Alumni Organizations, manages the domestic and international alumni chapters, the industry roundtables and organizes the alumni volunteer Leadership Conference. Dana Cushingberry, Project Assistant to the alumni organizations, provides general support and maintains listservs.
Anthia Nickerson, Associate Director for Special Events, organizes and manages the events for GSB alumni. She handles the logistics for Alumni Celebration, Reunion, and Distinguished Alumni Awards.
Melissa Allen, the Alumni Office Webmaster, oversees the content and architecture of the Alumni Office website. She also conducts email broadcasts to the alumni. Melissa works closely with Carrie Krischer, the technical associate, who provides technical support to alumni needing to access E-mail 4 Life or alumni networking lists.
