GSB Welcomes Michael Wiemer in International Programs

Chicago Business is proud to extend a belated formal GSB welcome to Michael D. Wiemer. Mr. Wiemer accepted the position of Director of International Programs at the beginning of Fall Quarter.
Most recently, Mr. Wiemer served as the Director of International Operations at Dominican University of California. Prior to that, he was Director of the Center of International Programs and the Manager of the Study Abroad Office, also at Dominican.
Wiemer received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Minnesota. He got his M.B.A. in International Business from Dominican University. He has lived, studied, and worked abroad in the European Union, Australia, and East Asia, as well as Central and South America.
Did we neglect to mention that he also speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently?
Mr. Wiemer began his tenure at the GSB in September by accompanying the first-year I.M.B.A. students on their Global Studies Tour trip to London.
With his extensive experience in the area of international programming, we are certain that he will further the tradition of excellence at the GSB. Please join us in welcoming him and his wife Deborah to Chicago, and to the Graduate School of Business.
